Dear Governor Haslam:
This is my 102nd letter to you.
About skin in the game.
I am 62 years old and have worked my entire life. It is September 4, 2014. I looked in my wallet a few minutes ago. I have $23 to live on for the rest of the month. No more is coming.
A few days ago I went to the emergency room. I thought I was having a heart attack. They thought my gall bladder was going bad and I might need emergency surgery. Thank God we were both wrong.
The bill will be thousands of dollars I think. They asked for a deposit when I left. I took out the 3 pennies in my pocket and asked them which one they wanted.
Governor my skin was long ago gone.
