Dear Governor Haslam:
This is my 93rd letter to you.
It is about the so called costs of expansion.
One of the things you always say is Tennessee can not afford the costs of getting so much money from the federal government. Is it not true that if you take the HMO tax and the matching federal funds that Tennessee gets from this that the resulting funds more than dwarf the cost?
Studies show that for each dollar the state spends on Medicaid expansion that $30 in economic benefits will be generated.
You are a businessman. What is there about this you do not understand?
Be real governor. The old arguments are just that–old.
Work for Tennessee. That is your job.
