Dear Governor Haslam:
This is my 81st letter to you.
It really seems worth coming back to. The attached document shows what Tennesseans without insurance do for a living. It demonstrates the reality of the term “working poor”. It shows the fundamental inequity of a system which denies people health care while it profits on their labor. It shows the blindness and meaness of a view which equates poverty with lack of effort and worth and misses the fundamental point that for many people poverty is what it means to be an American.
Make Tennessee for all Tennesseans. Open the conversation. Expand Tenn Care.
Until tomorrow.
Yours truly,
Larry Drain
