The 52nd letter: I still do

Dear Governor Haslam:

This is my 52nd letter to you.

My wife and I have 3 or 4 days together before I leave. The last few days have been the first together in months and I don’t think I had realized how much I missed her. Even with all the stress it has been a huge blessing.

I will always treasure this week. Governor I don’t know when the next one will be. I don’t know there will be a next one.

I would like to talk to you about Tenn Care expansion. Please call or write me.

Governor 33 years ago when they asked me if I love my wife I said “I do.” “I still do.”

Until tomorrow.

Yours truly

Larry Drain

  1. This is such a grotesque, twisted government, especially in Tennessee, that forces you to break a marriage, made with vows and forged with love, because unfortunately it is looked at as a scheme to cause healthcare fraud or self-gain. I don’t really understand the red-tape here, but wish you could have protesters by the thousands outside of the courthouse this morning and national–make that international–coverage.
