The 37th letter: homelessness

Dear Governor Haslam:

This is my 37th letter to you.

Things have turned rocky for us.  Efforts to find a place for Linda to live are not going well.  Her placement with her mom is falling apart.  We found out in the last 48 hours that options we we thought were weeks away were a year away or more.

I have a part time job now and if Linda lives with me it will cost her her tenn care and ultimately her life.  Without the job I have no food. She will have it looks like to move back in our apartment and me live out of the car… perhaps for a very long time.  Nothing can risk her insurance.  It is life.

Expanding Tenn Care could save us.  Please  consider it.

I hope to finally hear from you soon.

Until tomorrow,

Larry Drain
