I’ve started the petition “Governor Bill Haslam: Extend Tenn Care.” and need your help to get it off the ground.
Will you take 30 seconds to sign it right now? Here’s the link:
Here’s why it’s important:
There are well over 100,000 people in Tennessee that could be eligible for TennCare if the state would accept federal funds. There is something so very wrong about about health care reform people are too poor to be part of. Please act. Make health care reform possible for the poor. Your leadership is essential to making this happen. According to research over 200 people will die this next year as a result of having no insurance. Thousands and thousands more will suffer. Not accepting federal funds means money federal funds Tennesseans are entitled to will go to someone else. Jobs will be lost. Eventually medical care for all of us will be compromised as hospitals close or have to decrease their services to reflect the burden of uncompensated care they must carry. Please speak now for all Tennesseans.
We have months before the budget process where expansion is likely to be addressed.. With lots of effort from lots of people we have time to get thousands of signatures. Please sign and widely share...
