The 18th letter: It is impossible not to speak

Dear Governor Haslam:

This is my 18th letter to you.

I understand that you do not really want to speak about TennCare expansion, that you would like to “think about it.”

Your silence is deafening. You cannot not speak. You cannot not decide. If you do not want to be defined by what you dont say then please speak. It is time to take a stand.

I guess you know by now many people view your silence as you caving in to the “tea party”, They view your silence as a lack of courage on your part and your actions as little more than political oppportunism. You can prove them so very wrong. Stand up and stand for the most vulnerable of the people who depend on you.

You cannot not speak. Say yes to TennCare expansion.

Until tomorrow,

Larry Drain
